Basia Kaczyńska (ur. 1992 r.) zaczęła pisać w wieku ośmiu lat. Jako dziesięciolatka opublikowała powieść "Planeta koni" (2003r.), cztery lata później "Siostrę dzienną".
Lubi czytać powieści historyczne, choć historia jako przedmiot szkolny interesuje ją średnio. Sięga również po książki fantastyczne, przygodowe, obyczajowe. Jej ulubiona powieść to "Wichrowe wzgórza" Emily Bronte, często wraca także do "Opowieści z Narnii" C. S. Lewisa. Interesuje się mitologią słowiańską. Z rzadka pisuje wiersze. Słucha muzyki klasycznej (zwłaszcza Telemann i Brahms), ale też zespołu Hey. Nie wie jeszcze, czym będzie się zajmować w przyszłości, na razie najpoważniej zastanawia się nad tłumaczeniem książek.
